Creative People: Happy spring trinkets made by Simcute

CREATIVE PEOPLEI told you last year some things about Simcute and her colorful trinkets and brooches. I worked with her for two lovely projects and I really appreciate her progress and wonderful things she made. It’s all about passion for colors, details and things that make people happy.   This year she launched an awesome collection with spring trinkets with lovely messages, houses, birds, bicycles and butterflies. You can find more on Simcute shop or on her Facebook page.

Creative People: Ioana Bănică & “The Great Thumb” Project

CREATIVE PEOPLEI have recently discovered the most beautiful handmade journals in the world: journals for recipes or for our travel stories. They are manufactured by a very talented girl – Ioana Bănică. She finished Art School in Constanța, and now she is  student at the Faculty of Architecture in Bucharest, Romania. Her first meeting with   handmade journals was when she was a little girl, when she manufactured one for herself: she cut sheets, started to sewing them and then she wrote some true or invented stories in it.

She grew up and the good influence of her best friends, passionate about arts and crafts and also the Art studies, determined her to make creative journals again. First she created for friends but now she has pretty clients.  “The Great Thumb” Project ( Marele Deget Mare) was born with the desire to do something with love and not to buy it.  Someone  told her once that in his family the Christmas was made by people and it wasn’t  bought like now. Through her works, Ioana tries to keep this concept too and she invites people to try doing themselves handmade things , from toys for their cats and up to decorations for the house.

She loves making journals because she appreciates when her written memories have a special cover.  She also loves fabrics and dots and  in the near future maybe she will create handmade toys. You can see the lovely things she made on her Facebook Page.

O Jardim do Bem e do Mal

Aitch the artist
